Coming out and mind magic

December 31, 2012

In 2013 I’ll share ideas previously kept close to the chest.

Part of the reason I’ve been so tight-lipped about things is, man, being isolated you really have to scrap for every morsel of information.

The positive side-effect though was, the above framework made me much more sharper and attuned.

Unfortunately, I feel lots of folks take training with a great instructor and/or having a large amount of bodies for granted.

There ISN’T strength in numbers or quality resources if you’re not using the magic in and of your mind.

The resonance of quality

December 29, 2012

Something I’ve been telling people privately lately is I don’t really like wearing a black belt.

I rather cruise in under the radar, get sh*t done and leave.

I also believe people are intellegent enough to know quality when they see, hear, and feel it as thousands of hours resonate like thousands of hours:

So, I wear the belt out of tradition, but think overall it might stifle the education process via focus on symbols instead of individuals and corresponding skill-sets.

Laughter is life:

Was in some kind of mood while typing the previous post. *laughs*

Getting much better at letting feelings be what they are before passing.

A blog in my opinion should reflect this process. Outside of spelling and grammar re-edits, it’s a format allowing thought to breathe in real time.

‘Coldness’ in functional terms is about refusing to acknowledge.

The problem with being ‘nice’ to a jabroni is they think it’s about them.

A little accountability goes a long way.

Possibility and Path

December 26, 2012

Possibility comes first, lighting the way. In terms of path, all you need is the next step.

It’s an opening occurring within its own time, not a foot race.

Pride comes from a story we have about ourselves.

The problem with this story is it requires work.

How about just enjoying the sunrise?

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays

“A hero can be anyone. Even a man doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a little boy’s shoulder to let him know that the world hadn’t ended.” – Bruce Wayne

Remember, the best giving occurs when you’re present enough to see a person who needs help, and you help them without thinking.

I wouldn’t even classify this as ‘giving’ so much as moments where we’re a part of something bigger than ourselves.

Life doesn’t always turn out the way I want, but it does turn out how it’s supposed to.
